CLASS Saturday morning – 9 to 12 AM

 

1/4” SANTA FE CHANDELIER & SCONCE - Add charm and authenticity to your ¼” SW room with this chandelier and sconce, based on fixtures in Old Northern NM haciendas. We will wire the chandelier; an open wheel with central downward focused LED light. The sconce holds a realistic LED candle flame. Choose from black, antique tin or gold finish. Class will include a discussion and demonstration of LED lighting plus wiring the chandelier.

CLASSES

 

Matrix Making for Molds – July 23 – all day- $87.00

Learn to build the originals - where the student will build architectural trims, doorways, window casings, parts of furniture, figures or other pieces from which to make a mold - including flat pieces or 3-dimensional pieces or anything else you would like to customize for your miniatures. The workshop will include hands-on design and making of individual ideas of the students from many types of materials. This class can be paired with Mold Making Simplified - (held the following day), where the students will learn to make rubber molds for their creations.

 

Mold Making Simplified – July 24 – all day - $126.00

Learn to make rubber molds for your creations - including flat pieces, 3 - dimensional pieces and figures, doorways, trim or anything else you would like to make in quantity. This popular workshop will include hands-on making of a one-part mold, a two-part mold and also casting resin into the mold to create the piece. Discussion and demonstration will include building various matrices for making molds and the types of molds to make what you wish to craft. Students may bring their own small piece to use to create a mold. Finished molds will vary with individual students. This class can be paired with Matrix Building for Molds - (held on the previous day), where the student will build architectural trims, doorways, 3- dimensional pieces etc. from which to make a mold. (Not for those with allergy to latex)

 

A Lamp for Many Rooms – July 26 – 7:45-11.30 AM - $87.00

Make a one inch scale Tiffany-shaded floor or table lamp with your choice of a torcherè or regular shade. The basic lamp is a floor torcherè (light & shade facing upward). The lamp can, however, be made with the shade & light beaming downward or as a table lamp. Regardless of how you want to put your lamp together, you’ll receive directions for the four different configurations. Various finishes will be available – gold plated to antique to charcoal. You’ll electrify the lamp with an LED light which can be used with a 3v or 9v battery or 12v AC or DC current. The kit supplies all components to make ONE lamp.
